Ideal for craft beer and cocktail connoisseurs, Melzingah Tap House is the perfect place to relax with some quality food and drink.
On the menu, you’ll find some traditional bar foods, though they’ve been crafted with a twist: starters like “grilled cheese” on a toasted baguette, mac and cheese and poutine are popular hits.
For those with heartier appetites, try one of the locale’s renowned burgers — the Beacon burger, for example, includes 8 oz. of Allen Bro. Farm Angus beef topped with whipped feta, lettuce, tomato, onion and homemade pickle on a brioche bun. Other classic entrees include chicken and dumplings, grilled ribeye steak and trout almandine.
The bar offers a variety of happy hours specials on weekdays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the kitchen constructs a special menu each Wednesday to show off the chefs’ creative flair. Whether you’re attending for lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour or “Off Beat Wednesday,” you’re sure to have a savory meal you won’t soon forget.
Though the restaurant has been open for just a few months, it’s already gaining a solid reputation on Facebook with a perfect five-star rating and more than 70 reviews.
“A place to go when you need to be treated right and enjoy fantastic food and drink! A tap house that raises the bar (no pun intended) for all Hudson Valley eateries,” wrote Scott S. in an April 10 Facebook review.
Melzingah Tap House is open each day from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., closing at 11 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, visit the website, and be sure to follow the restaurant’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for the latest updates.
